I'm a Barbie Girl...in a Second world...

I remember when I was little I thought my Barbies' hair would grow back so I gave my barbies haircuts. When I tried that on my mother's vintage 1960's Barbie she about died...and thankfully she saved the classic barbie from having her gorgeous red locks cut.

One of my second life friends Breee Homewood said to me yesterday..."I love to dress up my avatar...my avatar is my barbie." haha...ok girls...this is so true isn't it? No matter how old we are I think most women still love to dress dolls and themselves up!

Wintery Gardenscape

Hey peeps!

I wanted to let you know about a build/set I did in world

that's opening to the public this friday through March 20th, 2011.

It's a winter-themed build so that's why it's coming

down March 20th - the first day of spring.

There will be a Grand Opening party and a closing party later for the

Wintery Gardenscape, as I am calling it. The Grand Opening party will be

this Friday, February 11th, 2011 at 9:30pm SLT at the Wintery Gardenscape.

Deejay Antonio Plassitz will be playing a stellar set (as always). He also

rents the land where the Wintery Gardenscape is

located and graciously let me build it there. Thank you Ant! ^.^

Invite your friends and family to come join us this Friday for the event! It will be a blast! Don't forget your skates because the Wintery Gardenscape is built on and around a huge frozen pond!

I could list my numerous excuses for being gone so long but

instead I'll just say sometimes RL takes precedence, as it should.

But! I do hope to catch up this week and next to where

I should be for the 52 weeks of color challenge. ^.^

Alirium Gardens is not only a fabulous high

quality garden store but also a fun place to explore! They have made

a vivid ethereal garden surrounding the store, which is in a mystical cave.
